Dennis DeWild, Administrator

Dennis has been the Administrator of Garden View Care Center since February 1978. He attended Omaha University receiving his CPA certificate after serving several years in the Army. He became involved in the nursing home industry after several positions with accounting firms. Dennis also does the accounting for Goldenrod Nursing Home in Clarinda, Ia. and Monroe Care Center in Albia, Ia.

Pam Bartles, RN, Director of Nursing

Pam has been our Director of Nursing Services ever since July 1994. She received her LPN license in 1978 from Northwest Missouri State College at Maryville, MO. and her Associate Degree of Nursing in 1991 from Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA. Pam started work at Garden View in September 1978.

Bonnie Ward, LBSW, Staff Social Worker

Bonnie has been our Staff Social Worker at Garden View since August 1990. She received her Bachelor's degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Ia. She has worked at Camp Sunnyside (Iowa’s Easter Seal Camp for physically disabled children and adults), for Iowa Department of Human Services and was Director of Social Service for Shenandoah Hospital. Garden View is one of the few long-term care facilities that have a full-time licensed Social Worker on staff.

Gloria Mauer, Activity Coordinator

Gloria has been a part of Garden View for many years. She started as a volunteen in 1971 then worked as an nurse aide through her high school years. Gloria has been working full time for over 25 years with 23 of the years being in Activities. Gloria earned her Activity Coordinator's Certificate in April 1977 through Iowa Western Community College.

Josie Soverns, Food Service Supervisor

Josie has been employed at Garden View since August 1988. She worked three years as a Certified Nursing Assistant before transferring to the Activity Department for another eight years. Josie has been a professional cake decorator for over 24 years and enjoys catering for special events. In March 2000, she assumed the position of Food Service Supervisor and has received training at Iowa Western Community College.
