Activity Round-up

Wow, what a great time we had last month. We appreciate all who remembered our residents by sharing programs, caroling, cards, goodies and time spent with us. We had so many wonderful programs throughout December. Our Christmas around the World week went well as traditions from other countries were shared throughout the week. Be sure to check out our picture pages for some of the different programs.
I want to thank all who ventured out to our Family Christmas program. The weather was not fit to be out so I am glad that everyone that didn’t live close used their better judgment.
Our Hall Decorating Contest was judged by our residents. Winning 1st place was the 3-11 hall which was B-East, the 7-3 staff winning 2nd with their A-East Hall and The Department Heads hall which was A-West winning 3rd. The residents enjoy the different halls and it helps make their home more festive for the holiday.
January will be a little quieter but we do have a few special things planned. One activity to watch for is our Winter Ball. The Angel Care group will be helping plan and promote it. I think it will be a lot of fun and I hope everyone will enjoy it.
I want to take this time to wish everyone a Happy New Year. During this coming year I am trying to plan some new activities. If anyone has a program they would like to have or would like to share, please let me know. If you hear your resident say they would like to do something that we don’t have, please let me know. I am here for the residents and I want it to be as much like home as possible. So don’t ever be afraid to bring something to my attention.
Until next month, I wonder how many New Year’s Resolutions will have been broken already? Mine usually are.
